2018 Zed's Dead
One of a kind is an overused term. However this my friends, is truly a one of a kind. These gnarly old vines capitulated to the winter freeze of 2018 and as a result this will be the only time you have to try South Cawston grown Zinfandel. Taste it again for the last time. Zeds dead baby. Zeds dead.
Big, bold and spicy just as zin should be, this wine begs to be paired with all things grilled, braised, or roasted. Chef Dan Carkner couples this with his famous short ribs all winter long. He also reports that it is a really fun wine to cook with due to its modest 15.1% alcohol.
Dark, brooding, spice riddled, big fruited, low tannined, robustly round with a hefty finish of girth. (this is a full bodied wine).
